To Live or Die

poetboy5454

Each day is both a chance to live and a chance to die

We awaken barely realizing this truth, passing it by

Hearts unshaken by the reality of a sudden doom

Ripping us away from both today and tomorrow to our tomb

No longer shall I wait

Time will not look the other way

Here and now, we decide our fate

Knowing death could take it all away

Each day is a choice to either live or die

Consumed by the abyss or set loose upon the sky

A match to strike change to burn across this land

A future gripped within a fading hand

Chose the light and live for tomorrow, tomorrow will be good day.
