Paul commends Thessalonians

They faithful daughters, sons

Remembered always, never cease

They a true source of comfort, peace

Blessings they did release (x2)

Remembered was their faithful work

From it they did not shirk

And labour of love, and patience

Of hope, serving Christ, penitence

They continued on hence (x2)

Was in the sight of Christ the Son

Their faithful tasks were done

And in sight of God the Father

They did choose to suffer rather

Afflictions, spirits [did] stir (x2)

Paul and companions, they gentle

Not wanting one to fall

But as nurses cherish children

So they were there among them when

Help, support, needed then (x2)

They exhorted and comforted

Them in Christ's way, them led

And charged them, encouraged them so

More of Christ, of His life they know

Grace of the Spirit's flow (x2)
