Left alone her thoughts adrift
with a bouyant rise and fall.
One exposed to sun
will flourish and blossom.
The other submerged
to dark depths unknown.
Both newly charted.
Her beauty unnoticed,
her strength underestimated,
her abilities undiscovered,
by the crew
she abandoned.
