If I Knew The Words...

If I knew The Words…

I know the rhythm of the music

I learn it easily

I dance and I move

On the floor professionally

It’s something I feel in my soul

Somewhere way down deep

I know it at my core

It’s the lyrics that I need

The words just don’t come to me

When I sing a song

I’m challenged lyrically

When I try to sing along

I wish I were different

I wish I knew more words

I wish I were more verbal

And could recall the lyrics I’ve heard

My challenge is no secret

Many know my situation

When asked to sing I can’t

And therein is my frustration

When the words just won't come ... frustrating, indeed! Well expressed by the words of your poem, WC.
