A strange underground line,
Constantly affected by delays,
It starts off from Edgware Road,
Then it rotates anti-clockwise on all days.
It reminds me of a furtive mouse,
Along it travels around London Town,
I have struggled to embrace this anti–clockwise Circle Line,
I have smiled on occasions travelling on it, but mostly travelled with a big frown.

- Comment from author about the poem: The Circle line is a London Underground line in a spiralling shape, running from Hammersmith in the west to Edgware Road and then looping around central London back to Edgware Road. Here are my thoughts on the Circle Line anti clockwise. I find it annoying the way it runs down the track. Where would any Londoner be without the London Underground!

Erm, should it be re-named, now that it's extended. Well, it is a Circle, but it isn't, if you see what I mean?! Sometimes there is a whole TEN minutes to wait on the Circle line. I sometimes use other lines. Not that I 'm in London much anyway.
And how about the 'various' District lines?!
Hi Orchidee,
You are right about the Circle line. It is more like a rectangle the way the line rotates around London.
The different lines I'm wondering whether they would ever re name them. The lines have become so identifiable as a part of Underground identity and culture.
Thanks for reading.

Empathise with this but why not stick to the clockwise route? LoL 🙂
Hi Michael,
You are right. Circle Line anti clockwise is best avoided at all times. Hee Hee!
