There Aren’t Enough

There aren’t enough pictures in the world

to document every move

and every breath

and every thought

 

There aren’t enough creatures in the universe 

for there to always be a pair

or a trio

or even a small group of six

 

There aren’t enough trees in the forests 

to make enough pages

for every person on the planet

to be able to write everything

 

There aren’t enough bridges anywhere

for everyone to be able

to get where they are going

or get back to where they’ve been

 

There will never be enough

of anything

ever

and there will never be enough of you in my life
