Fostering Imposters

El_Pretzadente

Do you recall the sweet taste on your lips?

The strawberries

Explosive

Blissful

Honey

Or, do you recall a Tart

Watery

Conical ball?

We designed them

For Looks

For Sales & No More

Do you recall the sweet taste on your lips?

Tomatoes my friend

Smooth

Sharp

Sweetness

Or, do you recall a Sour

Husk

Crunchy

Slimey red ball?

We designed them

To be red

We gassed them for color

Unripened

Imposters

They are a fruit!

So delicious

Flavorful

Sweet as an apple

Love apples they're called

But not any more

No taste

They're Imposters!

Did you know Lettuce

To be hearty?

What about squash?

Do you know the taste of an Apple?

An Orange?

That's less than 1yr old?

We pick them early

Out of sterile fields

Just enough injections

For mass production

Bruiseless

Perfect Looking for your

Pocketbook

I'm hungry

For my Garden

In there Taste Grows

Delicous deformities

Are the normalties

Pennies on the watering

For my mouth as well

Therapy on the tending

Do you know how they taste

When they're patiently ripe?

Or, do you eat genetic embryos?

Who knows

Quantity not Quality

Wait.. let's make them look the part!

We'll try for taste...but First

Superficial Beauty

Engineered perfection

Flat as plastic surgery

We've fostered

Imposters

The same goes for meat

Have you ever had a beefy steak

From a cow that you knew?

Bacon from a pig that was

Named

& Not Numbered?

What about chicken?

What about lamb?

Does it make a difference?

It does, believe me.

We've sacrificed

Taste

For Good Looks

We've

Fostered

Imposters
