ISSY

Ternic73

I sit here alone and think about the past
Volunteering with you, we had a blast
Talking about life, you helped me grow
You were sad, you never let it show
My best friend and second mom you came to be
we talked about boys and what not to do
Any crisis you pulled me through
I wish would have repaid
I grew up and moved away
My heart breaking as I drove away
Time to start a new part of my life
Issy, you dealt with so much pain and strife
Fifteen years later I found you again
Picking up like old friends
Smiles comes to my face
Together again, we found our happy place
Then my heart sank one day
A message of a very sad day
You were sick in a very bad way
Prayers to you in heaven, no more pain
many thoughts of you still remain
I miss you Issy my friend

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is a poem I wrote about someone very dear to me, she was my second mom and helped me find my way through my early years. Then I moved away and found her again. She became sick with cancer and passed away a few years ago. Still miss her til this day

Thank you Brian she was a very special lady too me. She helped me grow up, and was there for me when I could talk to my parents.
