Time To Say Goodbye

poetboy5454

Entwined by the roots being choked by these weeds

Telling me it is time to finally plant new seeds

Though the time was never wasted, I begin to dream

Lost in thoughts of what-if under a sunbeam

A tear crawls to the edge of my eye, ready to fall

I grab the match, knowing I can no longer stall

With a spark it lights, and I fling it into the past's tomb

Leaving only ashes, embers, and smoke's perfume

It is time to say goodbye for now, until the land is pure

For of this poison, time is the only cure

It's been fun, through good and bad

For the past is all we've had

But it is time to say goodbye

For now

Good write, may that poison soon find an antidote and life goes on as normal.

Ripped me apart and stitched back up. You are one powerful soul that has so much, as always I thank you with a passion I know you understand.
