I know of none

Poetic Dan

Thinking of the man I've become
Is it the one I wish I'd had growing up

I know of no man well enough to reflect
Nothing to inspire or remember when

An angry language was learned to survive
In no time I'm standing on my own

A new persona is like a fresh pencil
Ready to flow but need to learn the spell

Life has given me the experience to write
Finding knowledge letting go of my mind

Digging deep to hear words that breathe
As they pump my heart nourishing me

I inspire to be nothing more than before
Learning to listen to what I'm here for

Honesty and truth no harm to be wished
No damaging words with intent of a hit

The path once walked will forever remain
Going forward it needs not look the same

Triggers that show me emotional tangles
Once leveled out give amazing new angle

There is no blame or darkness of pain
Only light with compassion left to play

Thank you, I'm working through some tissues and need to get this all out. Still not sure what it all means to me but I feel it may be close with the next one.

      Dan,
This write of yours is super! Very inspirational! I’m trying to pull myself out of a dark pit! This is helping! There are many lines from your poem that I can quote, but these are my favorite...

“A new persona is like a fresh pencil
Ready to flow but need to learn the spell”

“There is no blame or darkness of pain Only light with compassion left to play”

A great pic with a great message!
Your whole share is awesome! Thank you!

I wish you all the best my friend...

Wow you've just made my day, these are rambling thoughts for a pit I'm pulling my self out of. Something will be found from that pain, I take this next breath in to help you relax and I'll exhale to bring a wider search for what it is that you need. May it come soon

"A new persona" can teach us much as does the message in this compelling read Dan - - keep that journey alive with enlightenment and meanings behind words will continue to flow.

Still trying to understand what I'm trying to express but one thing is for sure it feels better to get it out.

One of those works where you know the writer was compelled to share part of a journey. Wonderful purge!

This is a great write and shows how we can all change. Life is what you make it and the experience of the past lets you make better choices for the future. That light is there before you, just follow it.
