Tune: Christchurch

('Now is eternal life')

Romans 3 v.21-31

********

Thank you Lord, righteousness

Gift you give, you us bless

Accepted in your sight

Through Christ we are made right

No mortal man could this achieve

We come to you, in you believe

Christ, propitiation

Made for all, each nation

For each one who avails

Salvation never fails

For Christ atonement makes for all

Come to Him, respond to His call

Justified by God's grace

Put right before His face

By Christ's blood, we redeemed

Though all lost it had seemed

But God His plan through ages long

Now comes to pass, we joy in song

For thus will ever be

Salvation through Christ, see

He who died, rose again

That children, women, men

May all this good news know and hear

And turn to Him in lowly fear

Light my life, my mind, heart

To know, recall, each part

Of all Christ's works, His ways

Dawn on us saving days

That through us you seek, save the lost

For us you paid our ransom cost

I sing this, or hum it, going through some Christchurch Meadows fairly locally. No-one can hear me then, me caterwauls?! heehee

Maybe it is better nobody could hear you, orchie! In the old days they used to burn singers like that on a pyre. But you are forgiven, because you can write so well! Stick to the sherry, forget the singing!

Thanks Fred. Is it the sherry making me sing?!
