I Am Here.

Goldfinch60

What will today bring?

Will bring sorrow?

Will it bring joy?

It may bring both,

But I am here.

It may be a busy day,

Doing odd jobs,

Cleaning the house,

Doing the garden,

But I am here.

I may be so relaxed,

Reading my books,

Listening to music,

Writing these words,

But I am here.

Each day is special,

Be it good,

Be it bad.

Each day is special,

Because I am here.

Cooeeee, yep, it's still you! It was still me the last time I looked in my mirror! You on that sherry there?!
    Good write Gold.

    • Goldfinch60

Sherry!! Good heavens no it is a fine Italian wine called Falanghina, the grapes lovingly coaxed to grow by beautiful giovani donne on the coast of Campania north of Naples.

Not any old rubbish then?! lol.

Nice to see that 'you are there', Goldie! And to see you with a bottle of wine and a glass in your hand endears you to me even more! Just came back from Costco with a carton full of bottles, including some old Zinfandel and a Cote du Rhone. The Zinfandel has 15% Alcohol which makes it rather heavy. But I like these kind of wines. And yes, my day is made if I wake up and I am still breathing!
Here is to you, my friend, may we be able to enjoy a glass once in a while for a long time to come!
Oh, btw, I did enjoy your poem!

Thank you Fred, I drink both red and white but my preference is Rioja, I have sampled some beauties.
Here is to your health my friend and I too hope we will enjoy a glass once in a while for many years to come.

And to see you here on MPS is our pleasure Andy. Great write as always.

I knew you were in there somewhere! Dare i begin to think your inspiration for your fine output on mps is drawn from a glass of your favourite tipple... no, i think not - but i've the cheek to suggest it.

          • Goldfinch60

I enjoy good tipple but not every day.
Not cheeky at all we all enjoy good banter on MPS but we also know when we need to be serious.
All I can say to you da is: Cheers!

Wise introspection after a glass of fine wine Andy - an engaging read.

            • Goldfinch60

              Thank you Fay, most kind.

Here's to you still being here, Goldie! Have a sip for me. I appreciated your write today.

              • Goldfinch60

Thank you Louis, imaginary sip duly taken.
