Praise Psalmody

Tune: Wolvercote

('O Jesus, I have promised')

Psalm 98

********

Sing to the LORD a new song

Make praises all life long

He marvellous things has done

Has saved us through His Son

His right hand, His holy arm

Has kept us free from harm

And has gained Him victory

His power displayed we see

The LORD His salvation made known

Has openly it shown

His righteousness by heathen seen

Not hidden, small, or mean

He has remembered truth, mercy

To house of Israel, see

Ends of the earth His salvation

Have seen, e'en each nation

Make joyful noise to Him, praise

All the earth His name raise

Make loud noise, sing, praise, rejoice

You have made Him your choice

Sing to Him with with harp and psalm

He shall bring peace and calm

With trumpets, sound of cornet

He faithful, praise Him yet

He is the LORD, King of all

Will hear who on Him call

Let the sea roar, all therein

Its fulness, now begin

Some song of praise, floods join too

To clap their hands anew

Hills, all nature joyful be

He Lord eternally

Praise Him, the Lord comes to judge

The earth, all wrong must budge

With righteousness shall judge, so

The world His just ways know

The people with equity

He shall judge, bold and free

Have mercy Lord, little we

But you Lord Almighty

That is very uplifting. I always enjoy a good psalm. Keep praising.
    Persistence is key

'Make praises all life long' reminded me to be more 'praiseful' with all the people around me too. It is amazing what a few words of praise can do. Thanks for reminding me.

Thanks Fred. Whether we (or I) do it all the time, is another thing. I suppose it's one thing to write something, and another thing to do it 'continually'.

        Praise Him indeed Orci.

Thanks Gold. The Psalm is 'Cantate Domino' in some traditional Prayer Books. Nothing to do with dominoes though! lol.
