New line

Aa Harvey

New line.

I don’t need drugs and alcohol to open up my mind.

I don’t need to tear holes in the sky,

To see what I have lost inside.

I don’t need to crash into the ground to know I need more time.

My poetry grabs hold of me and I exist,

With every new line.

And every new line is filled with opportunity and wonder!
    Well done, Aa!

Let your poetry be your essence and a scent that fills the air with your life's wisdom around you. An aura.
    Very uplifting poetry.

Each line was surprisingly better than the last

Thank you for making me see my poem from a new viewpoint. I liked the poem, but now I like it even more, as I agree with what you said in your comment.
(Not being egotistical, just telling you my truth...)

"We got it together, didn't we?
We definitely got our thing together, don't we baby?
      Isn't that nice?
I mean really, when you really sit and think about it, isn't it really, really nice?
I can easily feel myself slipping more and more away to...
That simple world of my own.
      Nobody but you...and me...
      We've got it together, baby..."
