Damn Why Can't I Forget

Lorna

Damn why can't I forget

The way you'd nudge me gently to get me up

The way we'd be off in your old truck

Highways rolling and later

The countryside waiting

The sun always shining even when raining

The feeling of safety even in danger

The way it never changed for so long

Damn why can't I forget

So on the day I die don't you forget

To swing by in that old truck

You've got to pick me up so

Down the highways we'll roll again

Home again home again
