Bartholomew's Beliefs - Twelve Disciples Series - 8

Tune: Duke Street

('Fight the good fight')

John 1 v.43-51

********

Nathanael, he was thought to be

By many Bartholomew, he

Apostle of Christ, 'neath fig tree

Jesus found him, and him did see

Spiritual discernment shown

Seeds of wisdom were in him sown

When Jesus did to him appear

He gave respect in godly fear

For he did call Jesus, Rabbi

Knew that his master, He was nigh

And too said, Son of God are you

And King of Israel, ever true

Jesus foresaw him under tree

In a state meditatively

That was enough to convince him

He came to faith, not fancy whim

Lord, help us as Bartholomew

To believe, and our faith renew

Growing in grace, knowledge, live sure

All riches of your treasure-store

    Good write Orchi.

It is good to hear the tune that you had at your wedding to KP.

Thanks gold. Yes, I had that huge choir at my wedding too! I'm still fighting - to get this ball and chain off me leg!
