Sun and Moon

Cynthia

The Moon

She's a goddess

The Sun

He's obsessed

He chases her

'Round the world

Day and night

Always chasing

Always trying to catch the one who has stolen his heart

She giggles

She stops

Waits for him to get close

Then just as he nears

She takes off again

The Sun,

He believes she loves him not

But if he saw the look in her eyes when she sees him

How they brighten at the sight of the one who has her heart in his hands

Finally she can't help it

She lets him catch her

He grabs her in his arms

The passion in the air,

So thick it could suffocate the universe

Again the chase begins

The love is strong

Their bond unbreakable

Sun and Moon

A god

A goddess.

Thanks CYNTHIA ~ I love Poems about the MOON and this is a GEM . I don't blame the SUN for being besotted by the MOON ~ she is PERFECT. The MOON is 360 times closer to us than the SUN so SHE is always in charge ! I like that you say "SHE let the SUN catch her !" A perfect LUNAR / SOLAR eclipse ! Thanks for sharing ~ Yours BRIAN (UK)

hi cynthia .. i love this ! beautiful poem , !! i love the idea of the sun and the moon being in love and the sun trying to catch the moon .. surely an impossible task lol , never in reality would the sun have any chance of catching the moon , one lives in the day , one lives in the night , impossible in the sky , but anything is possible with love there lol .. great read ! saved this as a favourite.. enjoyed every line x
