the soon of April
quickens wintered pulse to blush
panting warm-winged winds

Oh how I wish! We had a peek yesterday..... right back to ice today. Lovely little message.
I should have titled this "spring tease"! Forties yesterday and low seventies tomorrow. Boatloads of rain.
Sweet thought Heather. Happy Valentine’s Day
Happy Love Day to you!
Love your word choices, Heather! Am writing this in the middle of a tropical downpour. Lousy day today, but your beautifully written poem gives me hope and assurance that tomorrow will be better.
Thank you! We've had several rounds of good soaking rain. I did spy with my little eye the faintest signs of life on the forsythia, and that made my spring hungry heart pitter-pat!
Ah - - tease indeed in this place too Heather - so unpredictable from high to low daily - - love that glimpse your pen paints of blushing winds' quickening pulse. Top drawer writing again.
Thank you, dear Fay! I suppose the season comes on in fits and spurts in most places. I can embrace every season, but Spring and Autumn are my favorite turnings!
What a little beauty and I almost missed it. Where have you been heather?
Thanks for peeping at my lil haiku! I have been planning two weddings, working on college financials, and helping plan a home remodel. My wee brain is fried.
