LIFE'S LITTLE JOYS

lasergraph

(c) 2018 Edward York

Life can be so exciting,

When everything you do is so new.

There can be joy in the things that are normal,

And in the simplest things that you do.

The best things don't always cost money,

And that you always have known.

Sometimes all you need, is one special treat,

That's frozen and stuffed in a cone.

An afternoon in the park can work wonders,

A picnic can always make your day.

There is nothing like moments with nana,

And just a few minutes to play.

Memories don't come from big presents,

No headway from nickel or dime.

The most lasting thing that can be given,

Is just a little of your time.

          It’s those little moments
          that enrich our lives
          and are treasured the most!
          A fine write, Laser!

This is so true, the best present that you can give anybody is time and that is priceless.

Lasergraph, your poem is so to the point. Every stanza is great. Spending time with our grand kids is the best we can give them! Love your poem!!!
