Absence of Truth

Nicholas Browning

The absence of truth now defines what we are.
A feeble, frightened thing.
Perplexed, as a whole, belonging to the category unknown.

Unified, we stand firmly divided.
Fractured, we stand reluctant to change.
We, as a people, embrace yet
Turn away that floating cloud
That perchance might shower us with a pristine method.

Hideous are they,
Humans.

Of all the possibilities,
The world became this.
So what's better now?
Living,
Or the model for it?

We ARE hideous! Very imaginative poem, great writing. Love that image of a floating cloud showering us with the solution to all our woes!
