Notice of absence from Jooles
I disappear for months on end......just my life but I always come back!
I disappear for months on end......just my life but I always come back!
They creep around, you hear an evil giggle
You try to ignore but in your minds a niggle
There up to no good, this you know for sure
Sneaking around and leaving their spoor
They locked onto your scent, your no longer secure
It's 7 am, you've barely open your eye lids
Doesn't matter, here they come, yep it's the kids

- Comment from author about the poem: Wrote this while in bed this morning. My oldest is 14 and my youngest is 10 but they still don't understand what a long lie is EVER. This is for all the parents that never get to sleep past 7.

Oh I'm laughing......... poor you!
Lol.. .I think I have the only non lazy teenager
As time wanders on
You will miss them when they're gone...........
This is true
Great little write, Jooles! The last time I visited with my grandkids, got in on a late flight, not much sleep, but.....7am the racket started! They are six and three! But you know what, I loved it!
Also still remember my own kids (3) and how I would wake up when there was no noise.
Lol....blind panic...yeah no noise can be worse.....
Being an early bird myself this never bothered me, but once they became older we just couldn't get them up!
Good fun write, enjoy your children aal the time - they are special.
Thank you
