Progressing With His Presence

orchidee

Tune: Ratisbon

('God of mercy, God of grace')

********

Sing a song, extempore

Flowing from the Spirit free

Takes songs old, new, to worship

Praise the Lord in deed and lip

Here one church, one body we

Christ as Head o'er all we see

Lighten us along the road

You before us it have trode

Help us, grant us grace, patience

Always to you will true sense

And with strength to persevere

May we do your good will here

You our burdens them have borne

At the cross your heart there torn

Healing you did bring for all

Unto all who on you call

Your Spirit, the Comforter

Help us attuned to Him stir

Help us live by your power

Facing needs of every hour

Not give up, nor doubt nor fear

But knowing your presence here

You will as good Shepherd keep

With your love your precious sheep

Search our hearts today, each day

Help us here to watch and pray

Our stay shall not ever be

Earth-bound, but eternally

By your grace with you shall rise

On that last day to the skies

Breathe your inspirings into

Your people, refresh, renew

So having that hope in view

We shall focus e'er on you

'Til on saved ones glorious morn

The e'erlasting Rapture dawn

Thanks willy. Glad to hear of your good health news too. I'm nearing the end of reading Job (Old Testament). Who can explain all that?! it's a bit awkward that some study notes are by a Professor - some go over my head, but I'm seeking to understand more on a second attempt! Also Jesus' own sufferings. Not that any human sufferings, illness or whatever, are unreal, as we and He knows they are not.
