For the disaffected

Emile Dubois

Oh! This ailing nation

This septic isle

The rats have deserted

And gone to their retreats

Having voted for austerity

Cruelty and barbarity

Those shameful users

Those self serving vultures

Those corporate harlots

Who wear a mask of care

Yet their actions are nowhere

How have we descended to this?

A drip by drip effect

Ruled by the least amongst us

Those unfit for office

Those with conflicting interests

Those who are easily led

The whole rotten establishment

Has poisoned our humanity

We are on the brink of disaster

There needs a voice of reason

No longer should we lay down

It's time to resist

For too long we've been beaten

Rise up and claim what is yours

You are mighty they are weak

Their energy is placed in lies

Their efforts are easily bought

Their souls have left

    Viva revolution!

  • Nicholas Browning

Always remember that your humanity isn't intertwined with everyone else's. If you hold within yourself the willpower and dedication, you will never be corrupted by the way this world turns. You might become a little numb though. Small price to pay if ya' ask me.
