Tune: Lasst Uns Erfruen
('All creatures of our God and King')
********
Psalm 121 v.1-2
I will lift my eyes to the hills
This my comfort, my heart it stills
Alleluia, Alleluia!
For from there my help it does come
The Lord will help me all, not some
He the faithful, He the great one
Alleluia, Alleluia. Alleluia!
Psalm 122 v.6-7
Pray for peace of Jerusalem
The Lord will help and protect them
Alleluia, Alleluia!
For they shall prosper that love you
Peace be within your walls now true
Your palaces prosper anew
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
Psalm 123 v.2
Behold, as the eyes of servants
Look to masters, so penitent
Alleluia, Alleluia!
And as eyes of a maiden low
Look to her mistress, her ways know
So may the Lord mercy us show
Alleluia, Alleluia, alleluia!
Psalm 124 v.7
Our soul is escaped as a bird
And others true of us have heard
Alleluia, Alleluia!
That we are delivered, the snare
Is broken, we no longer there
But in the LORD's freedom we share
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
Psalm 124 v.1-3
If the LORD, if He had not been
On our side, then we had not seen
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Our deliverance, for men would
have swallowed us up if they could
We o'erwhelmed would be by a flood
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
Psalm 125 v.1-2
They that trust in the LORD shall be
As mount Zion which abides, see
It cannot be removed for e'er
And it shall be shaken not there
For the LORD sure does for them care
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
Psalm 126 v.1
When the LORD our captivity
Turned again, we were released, free
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Then we were liek those that do dream
For our state unreal it did seem
Yet the LORD us did mercies deem
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
Psalm 126 v.2
Then was our mouth filled with singing
Grateful thanks to Him did we bring
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Then said they among the heathen
The LORD has done great things for men
When He came to their help again
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
Psalm 127 v.1
Except the LORD does the house build
Human efforts they vain shall yield
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Except the LORD keep the city
The watchman's guard it vain shall be
But the LORD builds constructively
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
Psalm 127 v.3-5
Children, they be a heritage
Of the LORD, through each earthly age
Alleluia, Alleluia!
And fruit of womb is His reward
Children they be as arrows stored
Happy families from the LORD
Alleluia, Alleluia, Allelluia!
Psalm 130 v.7
Let Israel here hope in the LORD
And trust in Him and in His word
Alleluia, Alleluia!
For with Him there is mercy, grace
He shall shine upon us His face
Plenteous redemption, each race
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
Psalm 131 v.2
Surely I have myself behaved
As a weaned child, though not self saved
Alleluia, Alleluia!
For my salvation is in Him
Not of my own will or my whim
Without Him it be hopeless, grim
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
Psalm 132 v.13
For the LORD Zion He has chose
And each one therein He full knows
Alleluia, Alleluia!
He has for His habitation
Desired it out of each nation
His choice He made, that be the one
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
Psalm 133 v.1-3
Behold, how good and how pleasant
Is unity, 'tis God's intent
Alleluia, Alleluia!
For brethren so to dwell it is
Like anointing ointment, 'tis bliss
And as dew, blessing, gracious kiss
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
Psalm 134 v.1-3
So come bless the LORD day or night
You in the Temple, in His sight
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Lift up hands in the holy place
Night, morn, and noon, now every race
Ascend to Him, hearts full of grace
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!

Alleluia indeed.
Thanks Gold. This disappeared for a mo - I had missed a verse out!
Orchi - do you play the organ? Just wondering. And why don't you send us a clip of you singing.............
Thanks Lorna. Nope, I can't play a musical instrument!
You should have said yes and I would have perpetually seen you at the organ in a grand cathedral!
Oh lol. The organ and piano look very difficult. Took me months to get used to touch-typing - I mean using more than one digit per hand!
At least with the typewriter it only matters what ends up on the page at the end!
Orchi,
I’ve read them all.
A beautiful posting,
my friend!
Now...
I have the same
questions that Lorna does !
Thank you for sharing!
~Laura~
Thanks Laura. Nope, I go by tunes that I know, that have come to mind.
Wow! A lot of tunes that come to your mind for us to benefit from! Thank you!
Wonderful posting orchidee! Beautiful!
Thanks Christina.
