I just hurt a little more about it
Just for a minute, maybe more
It's a small ache, a seed planted
In the middle of my chest
Next to where my heart should be
Or did he take that too?
Who knows what pieces
I'm still missing
Hey doc could you check my head?
I've got a virus I think
Error Occured
Please restart my memory
What if I crash and burn?
Error Occured
System failure in Five
Four
Three
Two
Restarting
What if I stop breathing?
It hurts more now
Roots wrapped around my heart
Crushing my lungs
Am I still breathing?
My chest would still rise and fall
If I was choking wouldn't it?

Maybe I should stop looking
At these bad memories
And focus on the good

Normally I don't go for this genre of poetry and prefer works beyond the immediate self experience but I have to say that this so good - great structure and so well expressed - bravo.
Thank you, I appreciate it
