I love you.

bigtimesully

When we met we were o so young,

All we had for ourselves was innocence and love

I cared for you.  When others attacked, I fought and swung.

You cherished my heart, and of all else, that is above.

As time went on we slowly grew apart

I began to lose all hope.

I would’ve given anything for a fresh start

These are feelings with which I had to cope.

I don’t need charity, I don’t need your lies

But don’t ignore what your heart tells you,

If you love me, give me a few more tries

To win your heart and let our love renew.

I don’t know if we will ever be one

I really don’t know what God will do

But what I do know, as sure as the Sun,

Is that with all I am, I love you.
