I could be dead

I could be dead.
If I hadn’t spoke to her
I could be dead
If she hadn’t held me
I could be dead
If I had just left, I’m sure
I could be dead
If I hadn’t met her
I could be dead
If we are truly beings so vile
I could be dead

I could be dead

So why am I still here?
And should I stay for a while?
