Cry

Honey Silk

As these tears blind my vision, I'm left to wonder what went wrong.

I look for answers in my memories and there's nothing.

Maybe we were heading there all on our own and I hate to admit it.

I hate crying but it's the only thing reminding me that none of this is a dream.

The way it stings my eyes, rolling down my checks when they overflow.

The way my lungs refuse to expand and rather expel the air within. Bringing a clutching pain within my chest.

I can't see, but I prefer it that way. I don't want to see my broken reflection.

My heart aches in agony, having plummet into the depths of my stomach.

This feeling is all I'll ever come to appreciate. It reminds me of who made me feel this way and to stay far away from them.

Soon I'll be free from the mist of my tears. Though for now, I will let go and cry to my heart's displeasure.
