End

cloak

My heart yearns to find pain upon my soul,

But I can’t; family overwhelms me,

I want an end and a demise you see,

My heart is as black as a chunk of coal,

Drastically, freezing rain will take its toll

On the family in the SUV,

A slip, no one is safe, they hit a tree

I cry, then know I must release my soul,

I can now be free and join them again,

The rope is tied and ready to capture,

Thoughts and memories run through of a friend

In my mind I gain a vivid picture,

I write down the end, lost ink in my pen,

Then I fall, letting God be my captor.
