The Pink Moon peeks
Over the worms now underground
And phlox carpets out her lovely blooms
Defiant in a world of yellow daffodils
She is triumphant
In the moon's tribute
To her blush

Lorna - this is a sheer delight of a write - into faves. Made me think of that gorgeous pink gin I had before lunch with an up-market tonic, ice, orange, autumn fruits and lemon. Gin has really taken off over here with different flavours being the in-thing and many new distilleries have sprung up - we have three local to us. Sorry I've gone off on a tangent - must be the gin. !! 🙂
Wow Michael ....... thanks! Keep drinking if it gives the poems a glow! I just remember Eliza........ "It's mother's milk to me".............
A fine write and moon there Lorna. I'm on the gin too (am I?!) heehee.
Orchidee - I suspect you are always in the gin............ let's sing!
Wonderful poetic shades in this charming read Lorna - first class writing.
thank you Fay....
Lorna,
A great one! I love the line...
“Defiant in a world of yellow daffodils...”
Is that a pic or a painting?
Awesome colors!
~Laura~
Thanks Laura! It looks like a painting to me but Michael is the expert.....
I thought maybe you had painted!
Oh Lord don't I wish! But no....... my mother used to, my sister does but not me.... I did buy sketch pads and "stuff" to start drawing......... don't know where that will take me..... nowhere unless I actually try to do it!
It sounds familiar!
