A cat's a cat and it's self styled,
Does as it wants the things half wild.
Tortures and just thinks its teasing,
but when it purrs its so darn pleasing.
It sits on lap and kneeds its paws,
you soon forget its tooth and claws.
A dog's a dog, it's mans best friend,
faithfull buddy right till the end,
Loves to run and bring back ball,
goes for help if you should fall
easy to like it wags its tail,
yet cat's love is the holy grail.

A true write Davey. We love them both! That your drawing there?!
Sure is, that's my cat Lucy-fur who seems to have the devil in her.
I can feel your love for cats in this.
They always make me nervous!
But they're so cute 🙂
Cute? Not sure about that... They are dangerous!
Fine write and fine drawing but cats - sadly not for me. In fact I posted a poem about them a short while back - with tongue in cheek having a go at cat owners rather than cats.
I always had a house of cats around me as a boy (my mum was a breeder) so I think I understand and love them, they are all different though and sometimes you need to need to build a relationship before they accept you. Our cats stay inside though, so no birdies get hurt and no pooping in the neighbors garden.
I applaud all responsible cat lovers !
I was brought up on a smallholding - my father was a rabbit breeder for show and table - and they caused so many problems troubling the stock if they got in the sheds. Currently have problems with poop in the front garden - luckily (as you will know) my back garden is enclosed and they never venture there.
A fine drawing too there Davey.
Thank you 🙂
An excellent drawing and a finely versed tribute to both cats and dogs. I have only ever owned dogs and my know-how with cats is nil - - - thanks Davey forsharing this honest description of animal behaviour - - it was a delight to read.
I am glad you enjoyed it 🙂
