2 Voices

jada

There are two voices trapped in my head

One is I and one is dead

They sing songs, dance, and play

Until the sky at night turns to grey

The sun is on a break

And the moon is on duty

Isn’t it just a wonderful beauty?

Voice 1 leaves me alone

Whilst Voice 2 takes the thrown.

Time for bed but my head

Dreads, and sheds the nights ahead.

Why can’t anyone else just see the red?

I toss and turn whilst voice 2 takes its return

My tears of untold stories drip and drop,

Like cats and dogs except this,

This is no bliss.

It leaves without saying why, but that,

That is the most painful goodbye.

The light returns and hope has come again

Except tomorrow night is the same pain

With more rain and I can't help myself to abstain

The chest pain.

When Voice 3 awaits its turn

It’s only a battle waiting to be won

THANKS REJADA ~ Thanks for your first poem. Many of us can emphasise because most of us (if we are honest !) hear voices (other than our own) inside our Heads ! I'm a Scientist so my night voices are going over solutions to Scientific Problems I have grappled with during the Day ! Many Scientsts have received solutions to problems in DREAMS etc. Only occasionally do my inner voices stop me sleeping which is good because working people ~ need their sleep ! Yours BRIAN ~ Please check my Poems ~ Thanks BRIAN
