So I Left You A Letter

Accidental Poet

So I Left You A Letter

Sharon, do you remember

The boy who loved you in 8th grade

Well, he fell in love with you

Head over heels back in 5th grade

Yes he was shy

Not sure what to say

But he knew he had to try

To tell you somehow, someway

Chorus:

I know you hardly know me

But I just need you to know

If you’re ever feeling sad and lonely

That I’m the one who loves you so

Forever, I’ll be you’re sanctuary

Hold you close in an embrace of love

Don’t cry, you’ll be alright

Just cast your gaze on stars above

So I left you a letter

In your school locker

Please don’t get me wrong

I’m not some obsessed stalker

I just needed you to know

Before you went away

That I’d always love you

And it grows stronger everyday

Chorus:

I know you hardly know me

But I just need you to know

If you’re ever feeling sad and lonely

That I’m the one who loves you so

Forever, I’ll be you’re sanctuary

Hold you close in an embrace of love

Don’t cry, you’ll be alright

Just cast your gaze on stars above
