Fall

sylviasearcher

From the pit of this endless darkness

Earth's star awakens me.

Morning has broken.

Again.

But still

I fall as I rise.

I sleep as I wake

I cry as I laugh

Numb as I feel

Body moving,

Journey Nowhere.

From the cage of this silent void

Nature's wings sing to me.

Morning has broken.

Again.

But fast

I fall as I rise.

No sound as I speak

No hand as I reach

Dead as I live

Mind racing,

Journey Nowhere.

From the wretched selfish suffocating depths of my Despair!

Nothing awakens me.

Morning has broken.

Again.

Ending

I rise as I fall.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I started by calling this rise and my intention was that I would write myself up... but it just evolved not quite as I hoped. Maybe I have lost hope.

We all have these opposites in life but as long as you rise all is fine.

there are mornings when going for a pee is done resentfully, and bed gets crawled back into without eyes ever opening, and the only reason the birds don't get cursed is coz sleep stepped up so they weren't even heard for more a minute before that start of the day faded away ...before my mind fell under the strain into a sleep that wasted a chunk of my life again!

    it will pass...it usually does

    It's a like your stuck in a paradox....or purgatory
    Fascinating very eerie yet enthralling.

I could probably start and end most of my days with this one.
