To My Nana

WhiteWolf23

What would I say to my Nana

If she were here today?

I'd say sorry to my Nana

Sorry is what I'd say

Because I did not see my Nana

As often as I should.

There are no excuses for you Nana

I should have cause I could.

What would I say to my Nana

If she were here in front of me?

I'd say I love my great Nana

I love you Nana, more than you can see.

Because I didn't show this to Nana,

Not even at the end,

But I do love you Nana,

This isn't just pretend.

What would I say to my Nana,

If she heard my voice?

I'd say I need you Nana

But now I have no choice.

Because you're not here Nana

You've passed and moved on

And I'm struggling with guilt

For being too late. Your gone.

What would I say to my Nana,

What could I say?

I'm sorry Nana, I truly am

For all the years, months and days

That I wasn't there for you Nana

That I ignored you,

It wasn't because I hate you Nana

I know you don't hate me too.

This poem is to my Nana,

In heaven with my mum.

There are so many things

I wish I could have done.

So learn from my words,

Be more than I, be clever

Don't forget your Papa or you Nana

Because they won't be here forever.

Its not that we don't see what we have until it's gone it's that we just thought we would never lose it. Very great poem keep up the good work. Don't be sad your Nana is resting now.
