Freshman year we met,
and you have been annoying me ever since.
Why I didn’t just ignore you
I don’t know.
But given time we became,
aquatinted,
with one another.
Sophomore year,
and you were at it again.
What joy did you get
out of pestering me?
Junior Year you ended up
just being another guy.
Until you no longer were,
just “another guy”.
Senior year and
We are here.
Me, reading this yes a poem,
to you.
My boyfriend.
My boyfriend who,
has dealt with me
and my many moods on more occasions than he should have.
My boyfriend who,
after weeks, months, YEARS of being together,
or not,
Has ended up back at square one.
Square one being me,
Being the first person you meet here.
Being the one who you always seem
to find your way back to.
I hope you like square one
as much as I do.

I'm happy for him and for you.
I thought the image was great.
like those people in the movie total recall.
