Father I’m here to Stay

I take a pen and whatever paper I can find,

I scribble my feelings my experiences and Now they’re no longer Words scattered in my mind.

They become a piece of my life I thought I’d share 

Life long painful moments that are no longer left in the air . 

They consumed my mind for far too long 

Turning all my rights into wrong . 

So if you’re reading this yes my life has been a constant struggle ,battling my own demons,

But even the most painful heart wrenching things happen for a reason. 

So my heart may be a little lighter , my blood a little colder,

My skin is thicker and more weight on my shoulders . 

But one thing I haven’t lost completely along this debilitating race,

Is my faith in our Heavenly Fathers embrace . 

The times I thought he’d let go of me

He was preparing me for my next battle,

He was the light that was over my shadow . 

You kept me from giving up when I thought there was no other way , 

So now nothing else can cloud my vision  , my heart will take time to fill , my life to have true meaning , but my faith will only grow stronger and Father  I’m here to stay !
