Justice

poetboy5454

To achieve it, many have tried and all have failed.

Like breaks in the relentless wind, a flame of hope attempts to light

Only to be blown away again, the mountain that remains unscaled.

Kings, Pharaohs, Presidents, Ministers, all have buckled in the fight;

Swept away by the infinite gale of our own sorrow.

Our Nature's and Hope's quarrel over the fate of tomorrow,

While the relentless wind blow, the waters surge into a tumultuous tidal wave,

Threatening to wash away any trace of goodness still bleeding from the cracks of a crumbling Earth,

Overspilling with greed, spurring forth fear and hate to shake even the forgotten graves,

Buried under the landslides of chaos, their journey to death beginning at birth,

A sea of tears, a sky of darkened prayers, a land of ebbing love

Duty entrusted to the hands of a few perishes like a wilting rose

Art is made by the nestled roots and stems, not the ravaging storms above

Like breaks in the relentless wind, a flame of hope attempts to light

A single candle floating upon a sea of tears, under a sky of darkened prayers, where the day is night

A shifting world of life and death

Where the visionaries live to take their final breaths

Pockets of embers, surrounded only by ashes

And justice, like lightning, appears only in flashes
