Lovely boy with the eyes of warm brown
You make my heart spin right around
Yet you don’t think you’re pretty at all
Lovely boy, as tall as mountain peaks
You’ve got 64 freckles scattered across your pink cheeks
Yet you don’t realize how hard you’ve made me fall
Lovely boy with the soft crooked smile
You listened to me talk mile after mile
Yet you didn’t seem to mind at all
Lovely boy with boisterous laugh
You make my soul wish for another half
Yet you’re afraid to drop your wall
Lovely boy with your passions and dreams
You eyes get that special gleam
Yet you’re nervous your future might end in alcohol
Lovely boy with the brilliant mind
You make even the smartest of us look blind
Yet you are still able to act like a goof ball.
Lovely boy there’s so much more to say
But I’m out of ink and paper today
Would you like to come watch the rain fall?
Cause lovely boy there’s nothing I’d rather do,
Than listen to the rain with you
