death is around me

blank_voice

I remember the day you got diagnosed, so clearly

When my dad told me it's like the whole world went silent

He asked did you hear me?

All I could think was there is no way this could be happening to my family, not to my mom

How much time do we have?

Is she going to make it to see my senior prom?

You don't know what to say when people ask

It gets tiring and seems like a never ending task.

I keep telling myself not today

All day I pray.
