Porcelain Princess

H.R.Powell

Porcelain Princess

Oh She’s the Porcelain Princess

Sitting on her velvet throne

Isolated from the world

She’s all alone

Give mother a twirl

Sit up straight

You’re no common girl

Don’t make them wait

Say Porcelain Princess

Pick a pair of pearls

Don’t fight the system

My Porcelain Girls

Walk with pride

Another king killed

A Porcelain Bride

Is always born skilled

The people are angry

With your Porcelain Grave

The nation is burning

Porcelain breaks

Thanks HAYLEY ~ welcome to MPS ! Loved your first Poem a very clever take on the situation of the Aristos during the FRENCH REVOLUTION ! There are many Porcelain Girls (Pampered & Petted) in the UK and Europe today ~ I just pray they will all keep their HEADS when the next Revolution Comes ~ because (as you say !) PORCELAIN ALWAYS BREAKS !
Thanks for sharing ~ more please ~ Yours BRIAN ~ Please check my poems ~ Thanks B !
