A song, a sweet, sad, happy song
Floating in the air
It rests on a cloud
Before falling softly into my ear
All my sences trickle to the ground
As my ears are filled with a beautiful sound
To dance and sing would ruin the effect
For I find myself already trying to catch my breath
But soon my soul begins to move without me trying
Them my heart begins to sing
As if afraid of dying
Then all of my spirit begins to move and quake
Till it is no longer just my brain that shakes
For this little tune that fell into my ear
Has become a mighty orchestra
That my whole being can't help but hear
And I know people stop and stare
But music has a funny way of making me not care
And maybe oneday if a tune tries to aproch your ear
You'll let it in cause you'll understand
That music is something you can't help but hear

I love this poem, especially because music means everything to me, and your description of it's inner-workings was spot on.

Thank you BRIANSODES for your comment. I am thrilled you like my poem as much as I do. It means a lot that you get the feeling I do when listening to music. Sometimes I feel alone because almost all the people don't understand what I feel when listening to music. I am so happy you have enjoyed my poem. I can't tell you how many times my parents have said they hate my writing and that I should stop because I'm bad at it. They just didn't like it because they didn't understand it. It's nice to know that there are people in the world who understand where I'm coming from. Now only if I could get the whole world to understand and know what it means to be filled with music then maybe the world would be a better place. Thank you so much for your comment. 🙂
