What am I suppose to do
when everything falls apart
What am I suppose to do
When I don’t know where to start

He come to me for guiding light
But I am lost in the dark of the night
He wants to leave but always stay
His mom is pushing him away

What am I suppose to do
When we both are breaking down
What am I suppose to do
When he never comes around

He never frowns
And always wear a smile
But I know he’s hurting
Trying to keep it down

What am I suppose to do
When I know he miss his dad
What am I suppose to do
When I know what’s in his head

Grief and pain it ways him down
But what am I suppose to do when he wears it like a crown
He joke and smile and clown around
But what am I suppose to do
When I know the real him is hiding deep inside

His head is buried deep in sand
Hiding from the truth of being a man
He’s not ready to bear the stress
Of cleaning up the family mess

What am I suppose to do
When I love him with all of my heart
But what am I suppose to do
When I can’t make his pain stop

Lord if you are there
