I'm sorry it's taken so long to write
There has been so many moments you come back in my mind
You was my first and I hope my last
As I only knew for the second that you passed
If we could do it again I know we would of chosen different paths
I saw the panic in your eyes as we both knew!
There was absolutely nothing I could do
Everytime I see it, I pay respect to the soul
For your lifes should not of ended so unnatural
If only we could of imagined a better way to travel
Then I'll never have to see you bounce off my window
Until then I'm hoping all animals stay out of road

Isn't it awful to hit a creature..... I hit a deer once but he deflected off the car and ran off - I'll never know if he was hurt.....
It not nice to think of them suffering, I too hoped that it didn't.
It is such a sad situation whenany animal is hit, even more so if they are shot. Good write.
