Baby Boy

Baby Boy

There’s nothing like a baby boy

To give purpose to one’s life

As a wonder that God sends

To fulfill us deep inside

The love that a parent feels

Is from God bestowed

And the smiles the baby gives

Always seem to grow

The baby’s bath is a special time

With his skin so soft

With little coos back and forth

And squirming there a lot

The baby sleeps in his crib

Under parents’ watch

And they hug as he sleeps

Thankful for all they’ve got

The blessing that a baby brings

Helps his parents go

And when he cries some of the time

They calm his trembling soul
