Cherish

miscellaneousmind

Unspoken admiration, sickness for appreciation

I hear the birds chirping yet I’m not receptive

I do not care on what they are saying or who they are communicating to

Only time I notice is when they fly away. To soar freely to the horizon, I envy.

The clouds are forming

covering the last of winter’s sunlight

The rain dropping, wind cutting

Body aching and shivering,

how I long for another Summer’s day

Summer; full of life, love and warmth

Where happiness was sitting across a table and idly conversing about nothing   —which was everything

I didn’t notice when things changed

Or when it started to rain on clear days

I allowed time to move on and showed my indifference

Stubbornly believing things would go back to normal

where I’d find myself across the table in warmth and comfort

I saw Summer in front of my eyes and I saw Summer leave

Without notice or warning,

I saw Summer leave
