Together, Change Is Possible

poetboy123

Upon this ocean of hope I sail forward to the island of dreams

A vision of peace in turbulent chaos where power is hoarded by greed

Past the shadows lingering behind, I can see the future gleam

Achieving a new reality, with these two hands and a single creed

Rushing through every obstacle before me constructed by the whims of apathy

A raging will smashes into tomorrow despite the fears I may face today

Even when the storm of doubt arrives and strikes down our sails, erasing possibility

Drowning in the abyss of despair, I know there must always be a way

Bursting from this inky void landing upon my own resolute conviction

No matter the hopelessness and nightmares on this untrodden path

The sunlight rests behind these pitch black clouds, surviving any restriction

The evils daring to poison this world with there wilting ideals shall face my wrath

In a world of turbulent chaos where power rests in the hand of greed

In a world where the population remains disillusioned to their own ability

In a world that has been chained by indifference and must be freed

In a world lost from its purpose, we must set it free

Kindle your forgotten flames from the fading ashes

Fight on till our dying breaths, hope this hope never crashes

Paint, write, sing our way into a future that seems like a transparent dream

And wrench it into reality, rebuild this world from its seams

Change begins with a single voice but can only be struck true from a million voices striking as one
