The Undivided

Kevin Michael Bloor

With gleaming, golden buttercups

As far as eye can see

And dancing daisies blown by breeze

Beyond a sheltered lee

It's summer! and we’re side by side

Walk hand in hand once more

Just out of teens last time we touched

We're both now fifty four

We wind our way and wander free

‘Cross hill and vale we stray

Perhaps she’ll plait a daisy chain

Like girl from yesterday?

We spread our blanket on the ground

With hands betraying age

We reminisce ‘bout years we lost

But we won’t rant or rage

For we have always been in love

Together or apart

And we were joined through our lost years:

One breath, one soul, one heart!

      Blue-eyed Bolla,

An exquisite poem gushing with love! So romantic! It does resonate of the teen years...
walking hand in hand like the boy and girl “from yesterday” reminiscing of the past while enjoying the present! True love does conquer all...
“One breath, one soul, one heart!”
May you and Lorraine enjoy and love each for the rest of your lives!

I totally enjoyed the read and the pic! Clever idea of then and now...a very handsome couple indeed! Blessings!

Thank you, Laura. Yeah, this was one of 9 poems that were read out on KRNN Radio Station, in Douglas, Alaska, by DJ Shannong, AKA MsG. It seemed weird to hear my poems read out on air in an American accent. They were read beautifully though, very moving. Again, thank you for your continued support.
