Unfinished Business #1

The blackest cloud of Tuesday

has just come into sight

It’s pushing out the light of day

and dragging in the night

I’ve never seen a blacker cloud

that stretched so far and dark

I’ve never heard the wind so loud

that never left a mark

My turn to comment on your work after your words - and this is truly a superb piece - It just flows so well and, unlike many rhyming pieces, it doesn't strain to maintain the rhyme - a mark of a good write.

I really like this. It reminds me of times when I was growing up. Exactly like you described. Black skies, fierce winds but after a while it just passed. Didn't do any damage really. I would just stand out in it. It was like God was blowing the dust off the earth. A great memory for me. I had nearly forgotten. Thank you so much for reminding me! Great rhythm and word usage! Great write. Thank you so much for sharing.

Our childhood is when we are sensisitive to these things I guess

I think most adults are so busy with their everyday lives they don't take the time to really notice the grandeur of nature. It's a shame. Sad to me.

Does it not come back to us?

              • SLR

i know for some of us it does, but the adults that I know that truly appreciate nature have a dreamer/writer/artist soul, most of the adults I know don't.

                  True
                  Sad
                  But True
I'm grateful for what I have I hope that's in touch with something I can't always explain what that is
Perhaps were all just a little bit mad whatever that is

Also sad but true. I think a lot of us have a little 'crazy' in us. I'm also grateful, mostly for my family, my kids. I learned the hard way to appreciate what you have or you probably won't have it long.

                      True and Sad
I hope you find some sunshine soon

Thank you. Things are better these days. Stressed, but still better. 🙂 the sun shines on us both. ( I just don't think at the same time) 🙂
