Tune: Saffron Walden
(one tune to: 'Just As I Am')
Psalm 34 v.17-22
******
The righteous cry, the Lord them hears
Delivers them, and knows their fears
Their godly fears of Him, they do
Trust Him, worship Him true
Delivers them from their troubles
Each turns to Him, and on Him calls
He nigh to those of broken heart
Will heal them, every part
And He too is near such as be
Of a contrite spirit, here see
Afflictions of righteous many
Be, but the Lord faithful He
He frees, delivers them from all
Their afflictions, He does not stall
Keeps them all safe from harm, danger
No evil they incur
But evil shall the wicked slay
Soon shall come their true judgement day
And they that do the righteous hate
Desolate be their fate
The Lord the soul of His servants
Does redeem, lowly, penitent
None that trust in Him e'er shall be
Desolate, they blessed free

Thanks Laura. We had this tune at a special service on Saturday! (I'm not Jewish though).
Neither am I !☺️
You French then?! heehee. (not an 'in-joke' just a random joke). But I meant Jewish Sabbath - Friday evening to Saturday evening. One may say: What was you doing in church service on a Saturday?
Je ne suis pas Français non plus! (Not French either!)🙃
Great hymn, Orchi!
Thanks Christina.
